Skirting bays, lakes through villages and rolling farm country to Christchurch. After an
orientation tour of the city, a stop is made at the Botanical Gardens situated in a natural
loop of the Avon River adjoining expansive Hagley Park which has now become the
town center for Christchurch with a multitude of temporary shops and stalls with a
fair-like atmosphere. You will have some time to enjoy a walk through this delightful
garden park in the heart of the city.
Departing the City Center, you will pass through the suburbs of Christchurch and view
many lovely homes and numerous gardens before passing through vast farmlands and
green hills of the New Zealand countryside as you travel towards Lake Ellesmere; a
natural habitat for waterfowl.
Arriving at the Manderley Farm, you will be invited into the farmstead and served a
traditional farm morning tea prepared specially by the proprietors, Mary and Ross
Millar. Following tea you will have the opportunity to explore then move outside to
observe a demonstration of sheep shearing and see how trained sheep dogs perform
their duties with the livestock on the farm. 5:30 hours

今天早上天氣很不好﹐大風大雨﹐
我們坐小船上岸﹐小船接駁乘客很困難﹐
上岸之後﹐傘也撐不住﹐幸好馬上上旅遊車。
不過很快天氣又變好了﹐一路旅遊都沒有問題。

狗牧羊的表演﹐
今天的表演很精彩﹐有隻老羊不肯聽話﹐
幾乎跟狗鬥起來﹐狗當然把它制服趕回來。
剪羊毛的表演﹐因為我們已經看過一次﹐我和聿尊就不去看了。
下午農場有點心招待﹐做的咖哩肉餃很好吃﹐

牧羊人一聲令下﹐ 牧羊狗如劍般衝刺而出﹐ 到山野間去找羊群﹐

如此的牧羊﹐我也會牧﹐又不必去趕羊﹐狗代勞趕趕就可以了﹐
我覺得紐西蘭人﹐真是得天獨厚﹐肥沃的牧草偏野﹐牧場都是用鐵絲網的圍欄﹐

讓羊自己去吃草﹐人也不必去管羊﹐讓牧羊狗晚上把羊趕回來就好了﹐

這個牧場老大也有他心裡的苦悶,
他向我們老中吐苦水﹐ 他說﹐ 現在綿羊毛最大的買主是中國大陸﹐
中國人殺價殺得很兇﹐羊毛價錢被殺得低得無法再低了﹐他又有什么辦法?
